Fairfield General Hospital is the third largest hospital run by the Trust. It is located 2 miles from the centre of Bury and 10.5 miles north of Manchester.
The hospital is the only remaining hospital in Bury and is one of three primary stroke units in Greater Manchester. It is also the main site for elective surgery in the North Manchester area.
The Trust has invested £2m to improve facilities in the hospital’s accident and emergency department. The improvements include a new, dedicated state of the art Children’s A&E department and these new facilities were launched in Summer 2014.
The Trust has one switchboard for all calls relating to any services provided at our hospitals or in the community: 0161 624 0420
